Kanaba is pleased to announce that it has signed a grant agreement for the project “Hemp Build: Sustainable Hemp Construction for the Future” under the Acceleration Programme implemented by Hrvatska agencija za malo gospodarstvo, inovacije i investicije – HAMAG‑BICRO. After standing out in the competition within the Acceleration Programme — which combines mentorship, advisory support and funding opportunities for innovative enterprises — our project was recognized as worthy of support and further development.
This success enables Kanaba to secure funding for further certification and testing of hemp blocks, as well as for the procurement and construction of a hempcrete mixer — a key material for sustainable construction. In doing so, we are enhancing the technical readiness and quality of our products while actively contributing to the growth of sustainable construction in Croatia and beyond.
The HAMAG‑BICRO Acceleration Programme, aimed at supporting innovative startups and development-oriented teams through mentorship, business advisory services and access to investors, lasts up to two years and provides opportunities for financial and non-financial support to companies in the growth and internationalization phases.
For Kanaba, this is a step that confirms our vision — not only of creating high-quality, certified hemp-based construction materials, but also of actively participating in building a more sustainable and greener future.
